Sunda specialities

Day 2 on Sunda and we are getting some good birds. It rained for 2 days previous to our arrival and so we decided since the day of our arrival was fine, that we'd go for the night birds that evening in case we didn't get another dry night. It was great and we got Sunda (Mees) Nightjar and Little Sumba Boobook - both relatively recent splits and had ELegant Pittas all in the same patch of forest. Tonight we'll try for Sumba Boobook again. Today's birds have included Sumba Hornbill, Eclectus Parrots, Chestnut backed Thrush, Apricot breasted Sunbird, Chinese and Brown Goshawk and many more. Food is great and lodgings basic but adequate.
